Making a mistake, Asha Bhosle wishes Jyothi Yarraji luck in winning gold at the Asian Games

Veteran singer Asha Bhosle recently wished hurdler Jyothi Yarraji well in the current Asian Games in Hangzhou, China by sharing an old video from the Asian Athletics Championship earlier this year.

The Asian Games’ athletic competitions have not yet started.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-205615″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-09-26t232750.114.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com download 2023 09 26t232750.114″ width=”1223″ height=”629″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-09-26t232750.114.jpg 313w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-download-2023-09-26t232750.114-150×77.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1223px) 100vw, 1223px” title=”Making a mistake, Asha Bhosle wishes Jyothi Yarraji luck in winning gold at the Asian Games 6″>

However, Asha Bhosle went on X, previously known as Twitter, and released a video from the Asian Athletics Championship that took place in Bangkok earlier this year.

Asha tweeted a link to the video along with the following message: “Heartiest congratulations to Yaraaji from Andhra Pradesh for winning the Gold for the 100mts hurdles at the Asian Games.”

Social media users saw the mistake right away.

“Madam @ashabhosle Women’s 100m hurdle is not until October 1st and #Athletics in #AsianGames2023 will start only from Sep-29,” one person tweeted. See https://olympics.com/en/news/asian-games-2023-athletics-track-field-preview-schedule-hangzhou for more information. The video you posted was already finished. We wish her best to win at #AsianGames too!”

Another said, “Ma’am, that’s not true. Not the Asian Games, but the Asian Athletics Championship is the subject here. Last month saw the Asian Athletic Championship.

Another user commented, “It’s an old video…of the 13th Asian Athletics Championships.”

One person clarified: “Mam this is Asian Athletics Championships, not Asian Games, and yes, congratulations to her for winning gold in Asian Athletics Championships.”

“Delete this post, madam,” one person urged. It’s false, because this footage is from July, when Jyoti, I believe, won the Asian title.
